CMC Cyber Security joins the "Nationwide malicious code removal" campaign

Towards the long-term goals of ensuring the safety of users in Vietnam's cyberspace and promoting national digital transformation, Ministry of Information and Communications has launched the campaign of "Nationwide malicious code detection and removal" in 2020.

CMC Cyber Security will work with other companies including VNPT, Viettel, FPT, BKAV, Kaspersky, etc. in coordination with National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) under Authority of Information Security, MIC to carry out the campaign.

The campaign aims to reduce 50% of malicious code infection, and 50% of IP addresses in 10 popular botnets. No longer in the report of companies on the rate of malicious code infection in a certain period of time, the time is expected to be 2 months. At the same time, the campaign also contributes to improving national reliability in electronic trading activities, promoting socioeconomic development and ensuring national defense and security of the country.
The campaign will be divided into 3 phases: before, during and after the campaign. In which, the phase before the campaign consists of agreement acquisition and thorough preparation for plans and events. Currently, the campaign has begun to enter phase 2.

"The campaign has been implemented step by step. We hope this activity will gain positive results and contribute to the cleaning of malicious codes in Vietnam's cyberspace, ensuring safety for transactions of agencies, businesses and citizens in the context of Vietnam accelerating digital transformation towards the development of digital government, digital economy and digital society", said the representative of Authority of Information Security.

At the end of the event, Mr. Nguyen Khanh - an IT Systems technician working at a manufacturing enterprise - factory in Dong Nai Province was in luck to win a present from the lucky draw.
