CMC Corporation holds a special concert to celebrate its 30th anniversary

On the evening of 16 May 2023, at Hanoi Opera House, CMC Corporation held “The Digital Heritage Symphony” concert to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Directed by Music Director Duong Cam, with the participation of many well-known artists who performed 30 unique melodies, the concert is seen as a tribute of CMC to all partners and customers who have accompanied the Corporation for the last 30 years.

Attending this special concert were Mr. Nguyen Sinh Hung - Former Chairman of the National Assembly of the S.R. of Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan - Former Vice President of the S.R. of Vietnam, President of Vietnam Association for Promoting Education; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Minister of  Information and Communications; Mr. Nguyen Kim Son - Minister of Education and Training; Mr. Do Trung Ta - Former Minister of Information and Communications; as well as many representatives of the CPV, the Government and other ministries. Especially, President Vo Van Thuong also sent congratulations flowers to the concert to celebrate the 30th anniversary of CMC.

At the concert, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh - Chairman of Board of Directors of CMC Corporation expressed his gratitude to all partners and customers who have accompanied CMC over the last 30 years: "We take pride in the many achievements and legacies that CMC has earned and created in the last 30 years, which, due to the time limit of the event today, cannot be all spoke about. Still, in order for us to succeed, it is a must to acknowledge the merits of leaders of the country as well as our valued customers and partners, who have trusted, supported and helped our corporation for the past 30 years. You have my most sincere appreciation and my deepest gratitude."

20 years ago, in a report on CMC produced and broadcast by Vietnam Television, Mr. Do Trung Ta - former Minister of Information and Communications affirmed that the future of the country is a digital one: "We must build an Information Technology industry based on high technologies in terms of both hardware and software. We must build Information and Communications Technology infrastructure to ensure the convergence of electronics, telecommunications and information technology services in the near future. CMC is one of the enterprises that have contributed a lot to the IT development of our country."

As the Corporation enters its third decade and continues to accomplish the task of building a digital future, President Nguyen Trung Chinh associated the new mission of the Corporation with the mission of national development: "It is our mission to contribute to the development of the country, linking the corporation's development with the national development. It is also our mission to build Vietnam into powerful country in terms of digital technology, and use such technology to serve and conquer the globe, thereby turning Vietnam into a Digital HUB of not only APAC region but also the world."

Impressed by the achievements of CMC over the last 30 years as well as the determination and patriotism of the Corporation, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Minister of Information and Communications presented a special birthday gift to the Corporation: “Let CMC take on this national mission to solve the problem that is tormenting our country and humanity, so that our country becomes stronger and humanity is happier. The nation is permanent, and so is the enterprise that associates itself with it."   

The Digital Heritage Symphony concert represented the gratitude of CMC to its partners and customers who have always trusted, supported and accompanied the Group on its journey to conquer the digital world. In particular, with the participation of famous artists such as My Linh, Vu Cat Tuong, Vo Ha Tram, Hoang Dung, My Anh, etc., the concert was bursting with spectacular performances, taking audience on a very emotional ride.

Also at the concert, Minister of Information and Communications awarded certificates of merit to 5 outstanding institutions and 5 excellent individuals of the Corporation who have made remarkable contributions to the construction and development of the information and communications industry in Vietnam. The institutions receiving certificates included: CMC Corporation, CMC Technology and Solution (CMC TS), CMC Telecommunication Infrastructure Corporation (CMC Telecom), CMC Global Co., Ltd., and CMC Applied Technology Institute (CMC ATI). Certificates of merit were also awarded to excellent individuals, namely: Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh - Chairman of Board of Directors of CMC Corporation; Mr. Ho Thanh Tung - CEO of the Corporation, CEO of CMC TS; Mr. Ngo Trong Hieu - Vice Executive President of the Corporation, CEO of CMC Telecom; Mr. Le Thanh Son - Senior Vice President, CFO of the Corporation; and Mr. Dang Ngoc Bao - CEO of CMC Global.

At the age of 30, CMC has taken on a new mission with new responsibilities and a strong desire for a prosperous corporation that contributes to the construction and affirmation of a strong and powerful Vietnam in the international arena. And in order to complete that mission, through the concert, CMC also expressed its wish to continue to accompany its partners and customers to create digital heritages, not only in Vietnam but also in the world.
