At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of BOD/CEO of CMC Corporation highly appreciated the geographical location and political position of Da Nang in implementing the idea of building Digital Hub. Digital Hub is a center for data storage and Internet traffic transfer of global telecom, information technology and digital content providers with service coverage spanning across many countries/regions/areas. Becoming a regional Digital Hub plays a crucial role for the country's position and economy, especially in the era of digital economy and Industry 4.0

CMC meets with the working group of Da Nang City People's Committee for the construction of Digital Hub

CMC Corporation hopes to become the service provider for Da Nang City and also looks forward to having the support and close coordination of the People's Committee and Da Nang Department of Information and Communications.

On the city's part, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee appreciates the capability for technologies, solutions, services and business performance in the field of information technology and telecommunications of CMC, and has directed the Investment Promotion and Support Committee to coordinate with Department of Information and Communications to promptly instruct and assist CMC Corporation in performing necessary procedures in order to be able to receive investment research notice at Da Nang Investment Forum 2020 (expected to be held on 18 September 2020).

The working group of Da Nang City People's Committee also recommends CMC Corporation to prepare an investment proposal, which include requirements regarding location, land and support in establishing the Digital Hub zone. After Da Nang City People's Committee has advocated agreeing on the investment research, CMC Corporation will coordinate with Department of Information and Communications and Department of Construction of the city to do the planning before implementing.
