Empowering Digital & AI Transformation: CMC Telecom Upgrades Bandwidth to 1Gbps for Businesses

Starting from July 1, 2025, CMC Telecom officially upgrades the bandwidth of its existing FTTO (Fiber To The Office) service packages to a minimum of 300Mbps and up to 1Gbps, while maintaining current pricing.

This upgrade marks a significant step by CMC Telecom to enhance the quality of Internet services for enterprise customers in the context of growing demand for digital and AI transformation. It also aligns with Decision No. 36 issued by the Prime Minister to promote the development of digital infrastructure and improve the effectiveness of technology investment among Vietnamese businesses.

Ongoing Infrastructure Enhancements – Stronger, Broader Connections

Over the past three consecutive months, CMC Telecom has been ranked among the Top 3 fastest Internet providers in Vietnam, according to iSpeed, the Internet speed measurement platform developed by the Vietnam Internet Center (VNNIC).

These achievements reflect CMC Telecom’s commitment to delivering high-speed, stable connectivity to meet the increasingly diverse demands of enterprise customers.

From July 1, 2025, CMC Telecom announces the official upgrade of all existing FTTO (Fiber To The Office) service packages to a minimum of 300Mbps and up to 1Gbps, while maintaining current pricing.

Not only focusing on enhancing domestic infrastructure, CMC Telecom also continues to expand its international connectivity. Since June 2025, the company has launched a new international connection route through the Lao Bảo border gate (Quảng Trị province), strengthening cross-border connectivity with ASEAN countries.

Previously, CMC Telecom had completed high-speed connection routes to China and Cambodia, further expanding its regional service coverage and meeting the demand for high-speed Internet among businesses operating across borders.

In parallel, CMC Telecom currently maintains capacity across all submarine cable systems connecting Vietnam to the world. This ensures high availability, superior stability, and strong redundancy for enterprises relying on international connectivity.

Also in June, the company launched a new Point of Presence (POP) in South Korea, offering direct interconnection with 100% of Internet service providers in the country. This upgrade reduces latency by up to 30%, improving performance for enterprises engaged in data exchange and international collaboration with Korean partners.

Next-Generation Infrastructure – Ready for the Demands of the Future

Entering Q3 2025, CMC Telecom will continue upgrading its FTTO access network by deploying XGS-PON (10 Gigabit Symmetric Passive Optical Network) technology. This next-generation optical standard supports symmetrical data transmission speeds of up to 10 Gbps, both upstream and downstream. XGS-PON is especially well-suited for organizations with high bandwidth requirements—such as those operating AI platforms, Big Data analytics, or multi-branch remote working systems.

The adoption of XGS-PON will help eliminate bandwidth limitations, improve business performance, and support the development of more flexible and innovative digital solutions in today’s rapidly evolving business landscape.

“CMC Telecom is committed to accompanying our customers on their digital transformation journey by constantly innovating and enhancing service quality. The FTTO bandwidth upgrade, expansion of global connectivity, and deployment of next-generation network technologies clearly demonstrate our dedication to delivering real value and building a sustainable digital infrastructure for Vietnamese enterprises in the digital era,”
a CMC Telecom representative affirmed.
