CMC executives hold high-level meeting with German companies' delegation

On the morning of April 11, Mr. Ho Thanh Tung - CEO of CMC Corporation received a delegation of companies from the Federal Republic of Germany to visit CMC Tan Thuan Creative Space in Ho Chi Minh City.

Other CMC personnel to greet the delegation included Mr. Dang Ngoc Bao - CEO of CMC Global; Mr. Pham Van Trung - Deputy CEO of CMC TS, as well as other leadership officers of the Corporation. Members of the German delegation include Mr. Urs Unkauf - Federal Managing Director of the German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA Global Economic Network), along with leaders of significant German corporations.

During the work session, Mr. Ho Thanh Tung discussed the CMC's strategic "Go Global" mindset, its ecosystem of prominent products and services, as well as its development partnership proposals. Mr. Ho Thanh Tung expressed the desire to enhance the excellent bilateral connection between Vietnam and Germany by boosting the interaction between CMC and German companies. As a result of its growth over the last 31 years, CMC now has the technological know-how and collaboration expertise necessary to work on projects with governments and private businesses in various countries, including Japan, Korea, Australia, USA, etc. We possess ample research and technology assets, in addition to human capital, to broaden our collaboration with German enterprises in the areas of digital transformation, digital economy growth, and green economy", Mr. Ho Thanh Tung affirmed.

Throughout the work session, CMC representatives also reaffirmed how committed they were to enhancing CMC's position in the European market. German corporations are interested in a variety of areas, such as  digitalization, smart cities, startups, and green energy - which CMC is concentrating its investment efforts in through technology transfer and innovation initiatives. As a top technology firm in Vietnam, CMC has high capability as well as access to cutting edge technologies worldwide in areas including Artificial intelligence (AI), Cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and Blockchain.

At the event, Mr. Urs Unkauf - Head of the German delegation, Federal Managing Director of the German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA Global Economic Network) expressed his admiration for CMC Corporation's technological capabilities. Mr. Urs Unkauf said: "The accomplishments of CMC fully satisfy the requirements for collaborating with German companies on digital transformation, providing advice, and looking for funding for development initiatives..."

Throughout the tour and work session, the German delegates saw many opportunities for cooperation between the two sides and developed a strong appreciation for the corporate environment at CMC. In line with the Corporation's strategic approach, German in particular as well as the Europe in general is expected to become one of CMC's key markets in the 2024-2028 period.
