CMC Telecom introduces the "Internet of Things" platform for the first time at Make in Vietnam exhibition

On 6 July 2020, in the meeting for preliminary review of the first 6 months of the year, Ministry of Information and Communications held the Make in Vietnam exhibition for digital platforms. Participating in the exhibition, CMC Telecom brought the trio of CMC Multi-Cloud, CMC Cloud Camera and CMC IoT Platform, all of which are new and pioneering technologies in the field of cloud computing in Vietnam.

In the meeting for preliminary review of information & communications works of the first 6 months and identification of directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2020, CMC Telecom was one of the 33 enterprises and institutions to receive certificate of merit for excellent achievements in the fight against COVID-19.

The meeting praised the contributions of CMC Telecom in deploying and operating CMC Cloud BigData Covid-1 system for processing and simulating indicators related to COVID-19 situation of Ministry of Health. In addition, CMC Telecom was also acknowledged for efforts in conducting negotiations to assist businesses in dealing with difficulties and accompaning clients, including: extending payment deadlines, reducing rates, lowering package price and temporary suspending services for clients.

In parallel with the meeting is the exhibition of digital platforms, Make in Vietnam. Participating in the exhibition as one of the four core enterprises who are leading the field of cloud computing platform in Vietnam as selected by Ministry of Information and Communications, CMC Telecom brought along new and advanced technology products and solutions, including Multi Cloud/CMC Cloud Make in Vietnam, CMC Cloud Camera and CMC IoT Platform.

In particular, CMC Multi-Cloud Platform of CMC Telecom is an open platform that is capable of connecting to other cloud computing service providers. Clients can experience cloud services from big companies in the world, such as Google, Microsoft or AWS on a single admin page. Accordingly, instead of using each service separately with many management software, clients will be able to save costs, resources and time when using an open platform like CMC Multi-Cloud which is capable of expanding the system in a proactive and quick manner.

CMC also joined the race to provide Cloud Camera service in Vietnam market with CMC Cloud Camera system. This is a solution to assist businesses in the supervision, management and centralized storage of camera data on the CMC Cloud computing technology infrastructure.

Especially, CMC Telecom also introduced the CMC IoT Platform for the first time to businesses and organizations in the exhibition. IoT - Internet of Things technology helps connect devices and improve machine automation. With a focus on building smart cities and being more involved in community activities, a system for environmental monitoring and air quality alert that is constantly updated is one of the applications based on CMC IoT Platform that was brought by CMC Telecom to the exhibition.

In recent years, the concept of IoT in Vietnam has gradually been mentioned more and more through seminars and conferences on technology trends. The development of IoT-based applications is still a new field and CMC Telecom is one of the pioneers in this field. Moreover, CMC IoT Platform development team also attaches great importance to bringing utilities and serving the community.

With 3 neutral, Tier III data centers that have PCI DSS certificate in Vietnam, CMC IoT Platform provides highly accurate environmental sensors, satellite positioning via GPA with extensive coverage and wireless data transmission technology, which are easy to install and replace.
