CMC TS receives Certificate of Merit from Ministry of Information and Communications for achievements in the fight against Covid

On the morning of 6 July 2020, at the headquarters of Ministry of Information and Communications, CMC Technology and Solutions (CMC TS) was honored with a Certificate of Merit from the Minister for its excellent achievements in the fight against Covid-19. CMC TS is one of the 33 institutions to be commended. Mr. Nguyen Kim Cuong - Deputy General Director, Director of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises represented CMC TS to receive the certificate.

In the context of Covid-19 pandemic breaking out around the world, from March 2020, CMC TS had prepared a response plan and quickly applied technology to accompany and assist its clients in minimizing the impacts of the epidemic. Together with strategic partners, CMC TS deployed free-of-charge solutions to support remote work, online meeting and data storage. CMC TS has successfully deployed those solutions for over 60 institutions under ministries, governmental agencies, sectors, banks, large corporations and many enterprises; and has also supported nearly 70,000 users to work and have meetings online in an effective and secure manner. In particular, CMC TS has deployed solutions for Ministry of Finance, the State Bank, People's Committee and Department of Information and Communications of provinces, Vietnam Electricity Corporation (EVN), Vietnam Airlines Corporation, etc.

In April 2020, CMC TS and 5 other members of Vietnam Free and Open Source Software Association (VFOSSA) established the CoMeet Alliance and launched a bunch of online meeting solutions based on the Jitsi open source software platform. CoMeet's solutions feature high security and technology autonomy, and are in consistence with agencies that require absolute security, such as national defense and security ones.

In April and May 2020, CMC TS in collaboration with technology partners actively hosted online conferences to advise on information security and network security solutions for remote work.

Within the company, CMC TS complied with all instructions of Ministry of Health to ensure a safe working environment and health of its officers and employees. CMC TS activated the remote working mode and quickly applied technology to ensure the connection and efficiency of remote work. In addition, CMC TS replaced the use of fingerprints with face recognition by AI technology for timekeeping. The company also deployed Microsoft's online work and meeting solution for 100% of its officers and employees.
