Weathering the Covid-19 storm, CMC scores a "Hattrick" by winning awards for best workplace in Vietnam and across Asia in 2020

Recently, CMC Corporation has surpassed more than 500 companies to be ranked in the TOP 100 Best Workplaces in Vietnam in 2020, TOP 50 Vietnamese Companies with the most attractive Employer Brand - soon after winning the HR Asia Award 2020 for Best Companies to Work for in Asia last July. This is the corporation's excellent hattrick of Best Place to Work in Vietnam and in Asia in 2020.

Out of the blue, the outbreak of Covid-19 has caused the year of 2020 to witness unusual changes and serious crises on a global scale for all aspects of life, especially in business markets.

Steering business activities to pass through the storm is a huge challenge for businesses; however, CMC has had appropriate strategies to improvise in the recent difficult and volatile period with the timely guidance of Board of Directors of the Corporations and member companies, as well as the unanimous solidarity of CMC officers and employees. Thanks to that, business operations, production and activities as well as internal cultural and communication activities of the corporation have quickly adapted to the state of "new normal", helping the corporation to "go upstream" and escape the adversity.

Those efforts have brought CMC a worthy recognition: recently, CMC has consecutively received two awards: TOP 100 Best Workplaces in Vietnam in 2020 and TOP 50 Vietnamese Companies with the most attractive Employer Brand. Previously, in July, CMC was also honored to receive the HR Asia Award 2020 - Best Companies to Work for in Asia.

These two awards are given based on the feedback of 75,000+ experienced employee in Vietnamese labor market about 500+ top companies in 24 major industries through the “Survey of Best Places to Work in Vietnam in 2020”, which are announced  on the website: https://vietnambestplacestowork.com/ from 5 May 2020 to the end of 30 July 2020.

This is an annual survey conducted by Anphabe, the pioneer in implementing surveys and consulting solutions of Employer Brand and Happy Human Resources, since 2013. The survey aims to update the picture of expectations of employees about the desirable working environment by occupation, rank, department, geographic location, etc., thus giving a standard scale for Vietnam and honoring companies that are voted the best workplaces in Vietnam by industry and by each main criterion.

With strict criteria on 5 levels: "Awareness - Interest - Application - Desire - Priority to choose" of candidates, corresponding to 5 stages of attracting talents, CMC has beaten more than 500 companies participating in the survey to be ranked in TOP 100 Best Workplaces in Vietnam in 2020 and TOP 50 Vietnamese Companies with the most attractive Employer Brand, completing the hattrick of Best Place to Work in Vietnam and in Asia in 2020.

The award ceremony was held on the evening of 22 October 2020 at Vinpearl Luxury Landmark 81 - Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of over 500 CEO and leading personnel policy makers.

Representatives of CMC Corporation, Ms. Nguyen Dieu Anh - Head of HR Department, CMC Corp. and Ms. Lê Tran Nhuoc Lan – HRM – CMC TSSG attended the ceremony and the conference on Best Workplaces in Vietnam, and gave comments about human resource flow & human resource management post Covid-19, as well as advised creative solutions for businesses to "overcome obstacles and create its own path" in the "new normal" state, from the practical and effective improvisations of CMC recently.
