CIST Director introduces Made by CMC solution at IOT conference

Among which, the construction of smart city is where IoT is applied the most. By 2030, the value of IoT technology market can reach 1.5 trillion USD with a variety of connected devices from media, smart grid, connected vehicles and lighting to asset tracking, etc. Responding to market trends, CMC Corporation has researched and applied IoT very early to produce many useful solutions and platforms.

Mr. Dang Minh Tuan introduced to the seminar CIVAMS smart image analysis and management, a solution made by CMC capable of recognizing mask-on faces with 99.3% of accuracy in one-third second, which helps with access control. The solution can also warn of people with high body temperature, detect intrusions, fire and explosion, and is equipped with features for timekeeping and smart parking lot.

CIVAMS solution is being applied at CMC building with more than 3,000 people, Hanoi People's Committee and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The solution is currently being installed at a large international hospital chain in Hanoi, in which the central building has about 3,000 people entering and leaving everyday. Mr. Dang Minh Tuan also introduced the Made by CMC IoT platform, which is applied in smart traffic (recognition of vehicles and objects), public control (warning of crowds, people carrying dangerous weapons), etc.

The Director of CIST affirmed: “CMC Corporation is researching and applying IoT for solutions to support the digital transformation of organizations and businesses in order to realize the goal of becoming a global digital corporation. In addition, CMC is also collaborating with global IoT research partners such as Intel, HPE, Aruba, IBM, etc. to contribute IoT solutions to the digital transformation ecosystem of Vietnam."

Mr. Dang Minh Tuan (father of Vietkey software) graduated with Distinction in Mechanical Mathematics from Antonina Zapotockeho Military Academy (Czechoslovakia). In 2017, he received his PhD degree in Mathematical Assurance for Informatics at Military Institute of Science and Technology. Mr. Tuan is a lecturer and chief of Lab Blockchain office at Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology. In July 2019, he was appointed as Director of CIST under CMC Corporation.
