CMC accompanies Bac Kan Province in digital transformation

Realizing the goal of promoting the construction of a digital nation, CMC Corporation has just deployed digital transformation solutions to bring many practical benefits to Vi Huong Commune (Bach Thong District, Bac Kan Province).

Implementing the national digital transformation roadmap of the Prime Minister, Vi Huong Commune (Bach Thong District, Bac Kan Province) is one of the eight communes across the country that have been chosen for the pilot model of digital transformation and smart commune construction.

On 22 December 2020, Department of Information and Communications of Bac Kan Province and Authority of Information Technology Application - Ministry of Information and Communications jointly held a conference to announce the results of phase 1 of the program.

In this phase, CMC Corporation has supported Thien An Cooperative of Vi Huong Commune to use AgriConnect - a multi-channel sales management platform developed by CMC Telecom, and an application for product traceability which stores data on the basis of Blockchain technology (developed by CMC CIST and deployed by CMC TS). In addition, CMC TS also provides 9,000 stamps with QR code for traceability.

Mr. Le Quang Anh, Director of Government Solution Center 3 under CMC TS said: "We are very honored to be selected by Authority of Information Technology Application as one of the IT companies to deploy the pilot model of smart commune in Vi Huong. CMC promises to always accompany and support localities, enterprises and organizations in Vietnam on their digital transformation journey."

The model has been deployed since August 2020 with the support of Authority of Information Technology Application - Ministry of Information and Communications, CMC Corporation and other technology firms. The goal is to apply digital technology to promote socioeconomic development and improve people's material and mental lives.

Ms. Ly Thi Quyen, Director of Thien An Cooperative, said that certain results have been achieved: “Our sales volume has increased from 4-5 orders a day to 20-25 orders. Thanks to that, the income of our members also increased significantly, from 1.5-2 million VND/month to an average of about 5 million VND/month ”.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Trong Duong, Deputy Director General of Authority of Information Technology Application believed that the success in digital transformation of Vi Huong will make the replication of digital transformation in other communes of Bach Thong District possible. The results achieved in Vi Huong not only encourage other communes of Bac Kan Province in particular and other localities of the country in general, but also create strong beliefs in the implementation of the national digital transformation program.
